Mystery. Memoir. Miscellaneous.
Carol’s piece, “Sparky the Beetle,” tells the story of her Wyoming-tough, pickup-driving husband and his sudden yearning for a yellow, turbo-charged Volkswagen Beetle named “Sparky.”
True Stories: Volume V is a wonderful collection of works produced by the graduates of The Narrative Project, an organization that supports writers in getting their books done. Cami Ostman-author, teacher, and director of The Narrative Project-and her team of story warriors walk writers through a journey from the inception of a book idea to the writing of a complete manuscript. These stories represent a sampling of stories from the 2021 cohort, and evidence that support and accountability are key to ushering stories into the world.
